- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 tsp. sesame seeds (optional garnish)
- 4 Tbsp. hoisin sauce (to make your own, please refer to above FAQ section)
- 2 Tbsp. regular soy sauce (not light or dark!)
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar (or white vinegar)
- 2 tsp. garlic (minced)
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes (or red chili flakes)
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
