This was pretty good and almost spot on to a restaurant. my breading fell apart a little bit. Overall pretty good.

It turned out sweet. I imagine it’s not only the sugar, but the ginger! I can tase the ginger in this dish, which gives it a yummy after taste. Great dish!

Dish was great... just as described. It is labor intensive by my standards though.

Upon my first taste I was please but not satisfied. I thought, darn, this is sour and added a few more tablespoons of sugar and a few extra dashes of soy sauce. Being it was well past dinner time when I was done I was inebriated with hunger and piled my plate full of basmati, steamed broccoli, and the sauced chicken. By the time I was a quarter of the way done the sour components dominated my palate. It is then that I decided this was a sweet and sour chicken recipe with generals battering. It's definitely tastey but would never pass for generals in my home town. Tone down the sour and up the umami if you catch my rift!
