  • 1/2 yellow onion (large, chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons chives (we used freeze dried but you can use fresh too)
