- new potatoes (Redskin, depending on size, 3 or more per person)
- 2 lb. spicy sausage (like andouille or kielbasa, etc., cut into 1/2-inch slices)
- 12 ears corn-on-the-cob (shucked, broken into 3-inch pieces)
- 4 lb. shrimp in shell (uncooked, preferably jumbo-size shrimp**)
- 2 Tbsp. crab boil seasoning (per gallon water, or more to taste)
- fresh crab (** Some people like to substitute, for the shrimp.)
