So good! Tasted just like French onion soup. Used mozzarella cheese because that’s what I had (and I knew family wouldn’t care for Swiss - but I would!) Did not use oven, did all on stovetop, then mixed flour on meat and onions before adding beef broth - way faster and easier! Served over egg noodles with corn and garlic toast. Was good on the toast as well, so would like to try over baguette like suggested.
Second time - used Swiss this time! Still didn’t have baguette, so served over mashed potatoes - everyone loved! (Kiddo even upped her rating to 5 this way)

Turned out great! I used mozzarella instead cause we don’t like Swiss but we all loved it!

Very yummy comfort food. Didn't really make any modifications, just a little garlic for the chicken seasoning and I used gruyere instead of swiss (probably more than a cup, but personal preference because I love cheese). oh and I used the broiler for the last part so the cheese would brown a bit. The chicken was very moist. Served it over day-old French bread and it tasted like French onion soup but even better because the chicken makes it a complete dinner. Will make again!

OMG huge hit for our Sunday dinner! I thought I'd have enough for lunch tomorrow . . . that's a no go; my kids gobbled it up! I paired it with garlic mashed potatoes, and sweet corn. I will definitely make this again!
