- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Vidalia onions (or large Bermuda, peeled)
- 2/3 cup milk
- Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil

Directions
- COMBINE flour and salt in small bowl. Cut onions into 1/4-inch slices. Separate into rings. Soak onion rings in milk; dip in flour mixture.
- HEAT 2 to 3 inches oil in deep saucepan or deep fryer to 375ºF. Fry a few onion rings at a time until lightly browned, 2 to 3 minutes.
- DRAIN on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt.

AWESOME! added a lil skoch of baking powder to give the breading some lift. used a mix of veg oil, shortening and lard. Absofreakinlutely delicious!

I didn't measure anything. Just put milk in a bowl and flour in a bowl and added salt to the flour to taste. I used a sauce pan for the oil. I had to be careful with how much of the onions I added at one time because it would lower the temp of the oil. the oil was around 350 F when I started and my stove was on the 4.5 heat setting.
