Simply amazing my family said this is the best French bread that they have ever tasted and now this is a major staple to our family traditions

This was the first bread we made in our new kitchen. It came out perfectly. It was served on the side with roast duck.

I followed the recipe exactly, but should have added egg wash to help with the color.

One of my favorite bread recipes ever! Super simple, can be made with various mix-ins or toppings, and comes out delicious every time. Definitely a family favorite!

Great recipe for DIY French bread, if you don’t have a bread machine.

I've made this several times. Always turns out great. I even made a twist loaf with garlic and cheese. Yum!

i'm new to baking, but this was really easy to make, and super good. 10/10 would eat again

It turned out great but I suggest just rolling it into long logs with your hands rather than rolling it into a rectangle with a rollong pin and folding it in as the directions stated. I brushed mine with water before baking too.

Super easy and better than grocery store bakery
Best when warm with Irish butter
Has moist dense crumb
Will try letting second rise go longer to make less dense and more fluffy

This is awesome! It’s my first time making bread and I’m surprised at how well it turned out! I was worried i messed it up but it turned out great! It did take like 3 hours but it was definitely worth the wait

Easy to follow! Needs more salt in my opinion, but it makes perfectly good, if plain, bread!

It turned out really well! My family devoured an entire loaf in a day. It wasn’t the easiest to make. I was afraid of breaking the mixer once the dough came together (the mixer was really straining) so I ended up kneading by hand. It took a while, but oh well. The taste actually reminded me of the French bread from the bakery across the street from my grandparents house in Puerto Rico. It’s really soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I will definitely be making this recipe again

Simple, and turns out perfectly every time. A staple weekend bake at my house now.

It turned out brown and crispy on outside and soft on inside. It isn’t a difficult recipe, but make sure you make plenty of time. There is close to 3 hours rising time.

It turned out really well. It was very good. I used some oil on the tops of the bread loaves and spices to season them.

The over all flavor was good, I added a little to much salt in mine. Otherwise happy with outcome.
