    Amazing!! It was moist, soft, very flavorful, and easy to make. I used only 2 Tbsp of regular rum (instead of 3 of dark rum). I used Honey Crisp apples (3 apples which equaled 3 1/4 cups). I used a 10 inch Springform pan. I will definitely make it again.

    Excellent rustic cake. Have made it three times, and each time it was a big hit. I would suggest using vanilla sugar if you can lay your hands on some. about a tablespoon of that mixed into your granulated sugar is lovely.

    Fantastic! Used unsalted butter. Didn’t have the rum and forgot granulated sugar but it was still great! Light, not too sweet. I’ll make it again!

    I made it in a tart pan and the edges turned out very well, not too crispy. Make sure to keep an eye on it, bake time was less than advised. Very solid recipe, best served with whipped cream or ice cream.

    Its tasty, very easy and quick. It tastes better than it looks. But too sweet for me. I will lower the amount of suger next time and will make it in a smaller form. Mine turned out bit too thin unfortunatly. ( How tall should it be?) and also its darker than the other pictures you have uploaded.

    Okayy so i made this recipe like 10 times already because my friends and family love it sooo much!!!! Great thing is that its so easy that i dont even mind making it so many times and also the ingredients are really basic that can always be found at home! This cake is so perfectly delicious, the rum gives a unique flavour to the otherwise basic sponge and also because of the apples they feel fresh and easy on the stomach not like a heavier brownie or bday cake :)))

    It was the best cake I've ever had! Its so sweet and delicious. Very moist and not very hard to make. I used one honeycrisp apple and a granny smith apple. Definitely a make again!

    my husband claimed he doesn't like this cake, yet upon my return to the kitchen I found my husband had eaten over half of the cake! I made a butter rum sauce and topped the cake off with whip cream. I was pleased with the results.

    First time making this and it turned out so very good. Cooking time was about 32 min for my oven. I made it with 2 tbsp of milk and it could have used 3....very very good.
