- 800 grams all-purpose flour (cups)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt (table, or kosher)
- 2 sticks unsalted butter (16 tablespoons | 8 oz | 227g)
- 1/2 cup ice water
- 1 pie dough (round, recipe above)
- 1 cup dark brown sugar ( packed)
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 4 Tbsp. melted butter
- 3 Tbsp. bourbon whiskey
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 cups pecans ( lightly toasted, I do this in a skillet over medium-high heat, watching closely, very coarsely chopped, I actually like chopping the pecans pretty finely)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- confectioners sugar (to taste)
- sea salt flakes (such as maldon, if you have it, kosher or other salt if you don't)
- vanilla
