- 350 grams plain flour (I used 100g plain flour and 250g Superlite flour)
- 230 grams golden syrup (I used 200g,can reduce further to 180g)
- 100 grams peanut oil (I used corn oil, find the dough too oily, will reduce to 85g next time. Update: one reader has advised not to reduce as she tried with 85g and find it somehow dry as there's not enough for oil return)
- 5 grams water (alkaline)
- 150 grams lotus seed paste
- 1 egg (+ 1 tbsp milk, mix well and strained., I used 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk)
