This is a great lasagna recipe, easy to adapt however you like (I usually omit the spinach as I'm not a fan) and is always popular with the family. As mentioned by another reviewer, it won't cook "instant" lasagna noodles fully, so either use regular noodles or pre-cook instant ones so they're a little softened (I put them in water and microwaved a couple of minutes). Definitely recommend!

not bad. i used oven ready lasagne noodles which took longer to cook. probably would have been better with regular lasagne noodles

Nom nom nom.
I used marscapone instead of cottage cheese (I didn’t have any) and it turned out divine.

The lasagna was pretty good! I used one jar of Rao’s marinara sauce and felt like it was enough sauce. Next time I will use less spinach and fresh parsley. I would add more ricotta or cottage cheese to make it creamier.

I added carrot, zucchini and mushroom and it was so good! I also had no spinach. I cooked the sauce with the added ingredients. So good! Seriously.
Also. I cooked the onion for 20 mins low to caramelise or with one large brown onion and a quarter of a purple onion. I put half in the cheese and half in the sauce. Very good.

Skipped the onion and garlic. Added fresh spinach and grated carrots and italian seasoning. Sprinked parm on top along with mozarella. For a fun option that kids like (since they get their own individual portion) - rather than layering all the noodles on top of each other - once the noodle are cooked - lay them one by one on a plate and layer the cheese inside each noodle and roll them up . Placed them in the pan and pour sauce and cheese on top - lasagna roll ups- cooks quicker.

It was delicious and loved by meat eaters and the vegetarians alike! Keeping in my arsenal.

Everyone LOVED it! I also made a meat lasagna with a different recipe and this one won hands down.
