So good! We taste tested this at home for a party. It was very tasty. We tried to make it in a big batch and it was still good, but not amazing. I would not let the apples soak in the alcohol when you make a big batch. Mash those with each mix. Everything else can be mixed ahead except the fresh apple juice and mashed apple. (Except garnish of course.)
