Amazing...I used more sausage and added cubes butternut squash and dumplings. So good. It was a hit with the whole family.

So, I deviated from the recipe a bit. Instead of bone-in breast I used thin sliced chicken breast no bone. Instead of doing precooked sausage links I used Jimmy Dean Sage sausage (no casing), cooked it up and added it in when directed. I also used a lot more herbs - adding rosemary, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder instead of garlic salt (trying to limit excessive sodium), and a dash of thyme to the veggie/meat mixture before I added the broth mixture. And with the broth mixture, after I added it to the veggie mixture it was still pretty soupy, so I added an additional tablespoon of flour to thicken it up just a tad. After the changes it turned out awesome. Am thinking of doing this in little ramekins and topping/baking with puff pastry for a potpie type dish next time.

Thus was amazing stew! Super filling and satisfying. My husband and I loved it. A little more work then I had anticipated but well worth it. I served it with Parmesan popovers that I over cooked a bit but the flavor was good
