I loved this meal! My family did too. We ended up using a 9x13 pan instead of a 9x9 because my grandma didn't have anything else. I'm 13, but I was able to cook this just fine. We ended up also doubling the sauce and using closer to 3 or 4 pounds of potatoes. I don't like soupy things, and this was just right!
Overall, this has become a family favorite.
P.S.: I recommend cooking with gas. Honestly, I wish you didn't need to pay for this.

Very good. I would make it again. Used a 13” x 9” dish as the potatoes were to much for a 9” x 9”.

Preferably, I like to double the amount of cheeses and milks in the recipe to make it extra creamy but the original recipe is pretty good too

The only change next time will be to thin the sauce more. Other than that, it was great! Served with mandarin orange fruit salad.

it was yummy but the roux was too thick. i made two roux instead. it also cooked for an additional 20 minutes than what the recipe says

Turned out a little thick. May try cutting down amount of flour. Used red potatoes because that was all that I had. Added paper-thin sliced onions throughout. Best recipe I have found so far!

This was my first time ever making scalloped potatoes and it was a hit! My husband loved them and had the leftovers for breakfast! I doubled everything for the cheese sauce mixture because I always love extra sauce! Also, I mixed additional seasonings (salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder) to my potatoes and mixed in a bowl before laying out in the casserole dish. I also took the advice of another user and covered the potatoes with foil. I cooked them for 45 mins and then cooked for another 15 minutes uncovered and then let sit in the oven (turned off) for another 5 minutes. It came out perfect!!! I will definitely be making this recipe again and again!

Wow so good, just make sure you remember to salt the potatoes. After 45 minutes my potatoes weren’t done but I put tin foil over it (to avoid burnt sides) and left it in for 10 more minutes and it was perfect

Will be a go to side for steak or ribs. Potatoes came out perfectly soft and creamy.

It's perfect with any kind of potato, and I used a bread pan to make it, but it tastes amaziinggg! also, if you have no fresh garlic, just use to tbsp of garlic powder.
100% great for a family meal, well, that's what my family says :)

I only added a bit more garlic just because my group loves garlic. This was the second time I have made this. Definitely a crowd pleaser. Will be making these again.

I was asked to make scalloped potatoes for Thanksgiving. These turned out delicious. I will make these for Christmas.

The cheese mixture made for a weird combination. It was ok. Tasted a little off.

So good! All six kids and the hubby and I ate these up! Will make again. I didn't change anything in the recipe.

delicious! i used a 9x13 to spread out the potatoes mire so they cook more thoroughly.
