i made the cake into large cupcakes for a coworkers birthday. i could have probably baked a few minutes left and they would have been perfect.

Sadly didn't work as I expected it. It is more like a dense and dry cocoa sweet bread! I followed the exact recipe and I am usually a good baker!

It turned out great also I found that if u don’t have buttermilk u can add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar or lemon juice then add enough milk until it measures 1 cup and let it sit for 5 mins before use can be a substitute to 1 cup of buttermilk

My chocolate-lover daughter said "it tastes like it's from a gourmet restaurant". And I think that's a very positive, accurate statement. It was simple, quick, all ingrediants I typically have in hand plus directions were clear- I will definitely make again.

Very tasty and easy to make. Great with chocolate whipped cream and strawberries!

This cake turned out marvelously! I decided to make a chocolate ganache to drizzle over the top. Don’t judge me, I was jonesing for chocolate 😂 and since it was the day before Valentine’s Day, I felt completely justified. All I can say is Yum ❤️

Rich, dark, and wonderful — paired with unsweetened raspberry sauce and fresh-whipped cream, this was an adult-dessert delight.

Super delicious and moist chocolate cake that's easily and quickly made. A bit of frosting and sprinkles- birthday cake is ready

This cake is really amazing. I used my fancy Droste Dutch processed cocoa powder for this, and I'm glad I did. I made a raspberry sauce (just a carton of berries and a couple tablespoons of strawberry jam - what I had!) and some homemade whipped cream to accompany. The tart berries helped offset the dense, rich cake. Delicious!!
