- 1 lb. green beans (fresh or frozen, cut into bite-sized pieces)

- 4 cups fresh spinach (3-)
- 1 Tbsp. ground cardamom
- 1 Tbsp. ground coriander
- 1 Tbsp. fenugreek
- 1 Tbsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. ground cloves (reduce to 1 tsp. for less “clovey” taste)
- 1 Tbsp. ground allspice
- 1 Tbsp. canela
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 Tbsp. turmeric

This soup was delicious but look out for the spice blend! I followed the directions, made my own spices blend and wow, the flavor was really intense, not hot spicy, but deeply pungent with an after-kick of hot. We really enjoyed it but next time I make this soup, I will use 1/2 the recommended spices mixture.
