We love this simple dish.Comforting and delicious. As others have said, double the spices, but not the salt.

very tasty. i added a little extra spice, and made it with red cabbage. very good recipe

Pretty bland but I like spice. I found that by adding a tablespoon of curry puts some life into this recipe.

Can I give a dish I've never heard of before 6 stars?! Melt in your mouth bliss. After dinner while cleaning up, I just stood over the pan with the spatula and dug in. I savored each delicious bite.

This is one of my very favorite dishes, and the only recipe I've had to share because I raved so much about how good it was. My friend who doesn't normally like cabbage likes this. I double the spices.

DELICIOUS & DIFFERENT. Unfortunately, I didn't have any carrots on hand but it was still a mouth-watering experience. This is not just food -- it is an event. I don't think my life will ever be the same!
I doubled the spices, except for salt, and added 1 t. each garlic & ginger as suggested. I was afraid the ginger would make it taste like an oriental dish but it blended in and was imperceptable.
Next time, I'll halve the olive oil bc I cooked it in black iron & I don't think I needed that much.
I'm not a vegetarian like another poster, but I might consider becoming one if my family would allow me to cook it twice a week like she does! This recipe has motivated me to explore Ethiopian cuisine further. /A.
