- 1 1/2 cups beef broth ([low sodium or regular])
- 2 pkg. brown gravy ([low sodium or regular])
- 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt ([optional])
- pepper (to taste)
- 8 potatoes (Small Yukon, [cut in half or quarters])
- 5 large carrots ([cut into 1/2 inch pieces])
- 1/2 gal. apple cider (tip: refrigerated + cloudy cider tastes best)
- 2 oranges (sliced)
- 1 lemon (sliced)
- 1 1/2 tsp. peppercorns
- 2 bayleaves
- 1 dried red chile pepper
- 4 star anise
- 4 cinnamon sticks (plus more for serving)
