- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. coarse salt (omit this as I've used salted butter)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (at room temperature, used salted butter, 125gm)
- 1 cup sugar (scant 1/2 cup plus 1 tsp)
- 2 large eggs (at room temperature)
- 1 3/4 lb. plums (5 to 6 large black, halved and pitted, each half cut into 1/4-inch thick wedges)
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract (my addition)
