Made it for a post-Christmas get together to use up my excess eggnog. It was a unanimous hit, even with the eggnog haters, in a large group of adults and kids of all ages. Moist and buttery, subtly spiced cake. I added 1tsp cinnamon based on the author’s footnote suggestion to mix and match spices. I realized afterward it was more than the max she suggested but I’ll do it again next time as it was perfection. Only complaint is the appearance with the glaze as it did not cover the cake smoothly but this could’ve just been a technique issue on my part. It tasted delicious.
