- 1 cup yogurt (/curd not buttermilk)
- 3/4 cup sugar (see notes)
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 cup neutral cooking oil (flavorless oil, or melted butter)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. salt (or add according to your taste)
- 4 Tbsp. water (add only if the batter is too thick - as thickness of yogurt varies for everyone)

So soft and spongy! Added a bit of vinegar to ensure a good rise. Very moist. I would make again.
