- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla essence
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp. caster sugar
- 1/2 cup morello cherries (chopped)
- 12 maraschino cherries (for garnish, optional)
- 1 bowl whipping cream (and electric mixer attachments, kept for1 hour in freezer)
