Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry I found this recipe! Mounds and Almond Joy's were my favorite candy bars, but abandoned when I became a vegan. I made these last week and followed the recipe as is but used an extra-dark chocolate. It cut the sweetness of the filling and is so reminiscent of my old favorites. I made balls instead of the bars which was a good thing otherwise they would have disappeared immediately. I plan to top with an almond next time.
