- 4 stalks celery (sliced)
- 1 bag green bell peppers (frozen red, yellow, Or you can use fresh. The frozen bag is cheaper at my store and faster so I use it.)
- 1 bag okra (frozen sliced)
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 qt. chicken stock
- 1 pkg. turkey sausage (sliced)
- 2 chicken breasts
- shredded carrots (optional – I put them in this time because we’re trying to eat more veggies and I can’t taste them in the gumbo!)
- 2 tsp. Creole seasoning (Tony Chachere’s)
- water (to cover and as needed)

I followed the recipe except instead of turkey sausage I used Chorizo sausage .
I was the best gumbo I’ve ever tasted . Family loved it !
