They turned out ok me. I prefer making shortbread in a jelly roll pan and cutting it after baking.

this is my go to recipe I have made this lots and my hubby always wants more

I took the advice and chilled the dough, it helped. I needed to add a bit more liquid to get the dough to stick together and able to be flattened so the cookies could be cut. I dipped them in various melted chocolates, and added sprinkles/butterfinger crumblies/etc. They are not sweet without additional decorations like that.

Way too dry. I doubled this recipe and wound up having to add more butter. Cut the flour down to 2 cups. I make these with lemon zest in the dough and glaze with lemon zest and strained lemon juice.

this recipe was actually so good and they turned out perfect and just like the original cookies!! if you dont use salted butter just add one teaspoon of salt and theyre perfect. i also used brown sugar and they came out judt as good. the only thing that was off was the timing in the oven, i ended up leaving them for about 25/30 minutes

An absolutely beautiful crust! These cookies melt in your mouth, they’re light and delicious! Don’t let the simplicity fool you.

Very good, just barely sweet. Would be really good with a bit of glaze or dipped in sugar. I prefer my shortbread to have a slightly more crumbly texture so that’s the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars.
