- 8 cups chicken stock (basic, or broth)
- 1 tsp. hickory smoke flavoring (liquid)
- 1/2 lb. andouille sausage (halved lengthwise)
- 1/2 lb. garlic (& basil sausage halved lengthwise)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tsp. red wine vinegar (plus extra for seasoning)
- 3 green onions (white and green parts, chopped, for garnish, optional)
- 3 cups cooked brown rice
