- 1/3 cup buttermilk (at room temperature)
- lemon curd
- 1 Tbsp. lemon zest (no white bitter pith)
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter (very soft)
- 11 oz. white chips (bags classic)
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- food color (Yellow, pink and blue, gel, do NOT use liquid!)
- sprinkles (or nonpareils, if desired)
- 1 cup flour (with, until required amount is obtained. Scooping measuring cup directly into flour bag will firmly pack flour resulting in too much flour required for recipe.)
