Great cake with limited ingredients. I would use 2 cup of powdered sugar instead of 4 to cut down the sweetness

I made this for my Son and Husband. I have lost count how many times they have asked me to make this cake.
I add the coconut to the cream cheese. We really like coconut

Very good! Whole family loves it! Easy to make I added a lil butter to the bottom of the pan and added a cup of chocolate chips to the cake batter!

The icing pretty much covered the
Chocolate cake mic but during cooking it a sunk into the cake. the top of the cake looked mostly chocolate when it was done. bringing to a party! I will try later

I followed the recipe as written except I substituted walnut pieces instead of the pecans, and I added the Bailey's Irish Cream brand of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Although I made the cream cheese mixture exactly as stated in the recipe, mine came out too thick to spread evenly over the top. It felt like it wasn't enough cream cheese, so instead of a solid layer I had to swirl it into the cake mixture. With that being said, after baking I realized it didn't matter because it still got distributed throughout the cake and came out perfect! It ended up having just a hint of Bailey's Irish Cream flavor thanks to the chocolate chips which blended perfectly with the coconut and walnuts...I served it with Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla on top and drizzled a combo of chocolate and caramel syrup over it. Very rich and satisfied my chocolate craving!
