- 250 grams caster sugar

- 200 grams plain flour (plus a little extra for dusting the tin.)
- zest (an unwaxed lemon)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 150 grams creme fraiche (full fat)
- 50 grams butter (melted, plus a little extra for the tin.)
- icing
- 160 grams icing sugar (sifted to remove any lumps)
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. boiling water
- flower petals (edible, to decorate, optional)
