Move over, Pad Thai — there's a new king of Thai food in the US! Use Jet's cherry tomato cutting hack and lessons in the 5 flavors of Thai food to whip up the classic street food any time you like.
Ingredients

- 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 yellow onion (medium)
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 Tbsp. sweet soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. oyster sauce
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. fish sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. Sriracha sauce
- 6 fresh Thai basil leaves (chiffonade, more as desired)
- 3 Tbsp. canola oil (or peanut oil)
- 1 serrano chilies (sliced thin, more if desired)
- 8 large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 large eggs
- 4 cups rice noodles (fresh, separated)
- 1/2 cup fresh Thai basil leaves (loosely packed whole, for noodles, plus more for garnish)

pretty good, just not as good as the store and uses expensive ingredients making it seem not as worth it as just going out. I'm sure it would be the bomb if I could have found the wide noodles! it was very tasty adding bell peppers, and I thought the flavor was just right

Pretty easy recipe to follow although I do wish there were instructions to use dry noodles. Also as some noted, too much fish sauce. Otherwise, very good!

so good! the rice noodles i found we're not as wide and i ended up only using one 24oz pkg. i would need more sauce if i used the full 4 cups of noodles. i also didn't have sweet soy sauce so i split the difference with 1tbs light sodium soy and 1tbs molasses and slightly less than 1tbs of fish sauce. i also put 12 shrimp so we could split them well among our family. i can't do much spice so no peppers during cooking but cut them for my husband. the sriracha was enough spice for me and the kids. it made about three adult servings. definitely going to make this again!!
... Made it again a week later and doubled the amount of sauce and added more shrimp. this is easily one of my favorite recipes I've found!

tasted great. had to modify for dried rice noodles / rice sticks. also recommend using tongs.

It’s delicious! Almost** I’d rate it 5 stars next time with one small adjustment. WAY less fish sauce. I doubled the sauce recipe and that meant adding 3 tablespoons of fish sauce (which I’ve never cooked with before so I didn’t know what I was in for). I just looked at other recipes and saw that it’s either not on the recipe or is noted as *to taste* or 1 tsp instead of this one calling for 1.5 tbsp. Otherwise! Delicious and I will use it again with that adjustment.

FANTASTIC! I used thiner rice noodles. (Fettuccine size) Even better the next day!

made it with dried rice noodles and they ended up not being quite right. still delicious, will try again with fresh noodles. it took about 2 hours to make.
