Oh my god!!! So delicious! Made 5 serving size, I forgot to slice figs so I had to cut it with scissors when it’s boiling, but it turns out super great! Lol I’m gonna share with some friends. :) Definitely gonna make it again Thank you so much 🥰

Super easy and a great way to use leftover dried fruit from the holidays. I’m always saving small jars- just for times like this!!

I used dried figs that I bought in the store and had in my pantry plus figs that my neighbor gives me every year from her fig tree. I usually freeze them and or dry them in a low oven depending on what I want to use them for, This recipe I used the dried figs from the pantry and thawed out figs from the freezer. This recipe was delicious. I know I used more than 1 cup of figs (more like a cup and a half), so I had to increase the amount of wine and had to add a little more sugar and lemon. I also used the optional ingredient of cinnamon but more like a dash instead of a tsp. I loved this recipe and will look forward to doing it again. it should also be noted that because of the red wine, the figs look nothing like the picture for the recipe as they are much darker.. That being said, picture or no picture, darker or lighter, this recipe is a keeper.
Thank you Yummly, yummy indeed!
