- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 70 grams lard
- 14 grams yeast
- 1/3 cup water (warm)
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup sugar (plus extra to cover the doughnuts)
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 650 grams flour (plus extra flour for kneading)
- 1 liter cooking oil
- ground cinnamon

Directions
- In a saucepan, warm the milk and add the lard to melt. Set aside.
- In an electric mixer bowl, add the yeast and the warm water and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Add the warm milk with the melted lard, as well as the eggs, sugar, salt, nutmeg, and half of the flour. With the flat beater attachment, beat at low speed, then increase the speed. Add the rest of the flour and continue to beat.
