- 2 cups buttermilk
- 3 cups flour (doesn't matter if sr or ap)
- 1 cup corn meal (self-rising buttermilk, or plain corn meal, if you don't like corn meal just use all flour)
- Creole seasoning (to taste)
- 2 white onions (large, cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch rings, optional)
