Okay--this one was one of those recipes that I tried because I had way more thai basil than I needed for a different recipe and it looked interesting.
I will say that it is interesting. The color is a little off putting--my husband says algae like. But it has a really really interesting flavor. Citrusy, slightly sweet but not too sweet. Very summery. I really don't think it is for everyone. But it is definitely for me.
While Thai in origin, I do not think you would want to drink this with pad thai or many of the curries, but with fresh spring rolls or some coconut shrimp (I know--not a traditional Thai dish and I don't even like coconut) it would be perfect!
