My friend gave me a similar recipe, I wanted to keep because it call for more chocolate etc. 1 sleeve saltine crackers
1 cup butter
½ cup lt. brown sugar
12 oz. semisweet morsels ( I used milk choc.)
1 cup chopped nuts ( a little more is good!)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place crackers salty side down in one layer on tin foil lined jelly roll pan (with sides). (spray with Pam first)
3. Melt butter and brown sugar in medium saucepan. Cook for 3 minutes after it starts to boil pretty well, low to medium heat, stirring constantly.
4. Pour butter-sugar mixture over the crackers. Spread evenly.
5. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. (Probably about 13 depending on how rapidly your syrup boiled and how your oven is---it can burn easily, so keep checking when it starts to bubble good and is getting a little brown)
6. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate morsels. When they start to melt, spread evenly over entire layer of crackers. (My milk chocolate ones didn't after a few minutes so I popped the pan back in the oven for a few minutes)
7. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top. Pat in a little so they won’t fall off.
8. Refrigerate 1 hour.
9. Remove from refrig. and crack into pieces. Store tightly covered in frig.
