- 1/3 cup ground almonds
- 2 Tbsp. cane sugar (organic)
- 1/4 tsp. saffron
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 Tbsp. greek yogurt (fage)
- 6 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1 egg (yoke of, beaten)
- 1/2 tsp. lemon zest (fresh)
- 1/2 tsp. ginger (grated)
- 1 7/8 cups plums (sweet golden, sliced thinly and depitted)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 whole eggs (beaten, depending upon how "custardy" you like)
- 5 oz. cane sugar (organic, depending upon sweetness of plums)
- 1/8 tsp. saffron (stamens)
- 1/4 tsp. fresh lemon (fine zest of)
- 2 drops almond extract
- 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. plum brandy (or amaretto)
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon (fresh)
- demerara sugar (sprinkle of, and fresh nutmeg)
- 1 oz. toasted almonds
- ice cream (whipped cream and/or sprinkle of confectionery sugar for final touches)
