I found it works better if I put the breadcrumbs on the baking sheet and then formed the party on top with a spoon and then covered them with more bread crumbs.

I changed up the recipe a bit because I didnt have any cayenne pepper, but it still turned out great! My whole family loved them. I used a purple onion instead of white, added 1 green onion, and replaced the cayenne with about 1 tsp of season salt and 1/2 tsp of onion powder. I also didnt quite have enough beans, so I added 1/4 a block of semi firm tofu whiched helped make them a little less dry. I've tried the original recipe, but my family liked mine better. 💖

These were delicious and really easy. Instead of the ketchup and cayenne, I used a chipotle orange BBQ sauce which gave it a little heat and the moisture and smokiness it needed. I also added some cumin. The mixture was a little sticky even without adding water when blending, so I put the patties in the fridge for half an hour before cooking them. I cooked them in a skillet instead of the oven as well to get a little extra crunch.
