- 1 tsp. turmeric powder
- 3 tomatoes (chopped)

- 1 cup rice (washed well)

- salt (to taste)
- cilantro (to garnish, substitute parsley if desired, optional)
- red chili powder (to taste, skip it if you don't want spicy)
