First time making Piccadillo and everyone thought it was great. You gotta add the raisins. Soak them first in very hot water so they soften and then add them to the ground beef mixture. The sweetness of the raisins complements the acidity of the olives. I made platanos maduros as a side.

THIS is Cuban picadillo, not sure what that other stuff with the green chili sauce was but that wasn't the right way to do it, this is! So if you're not Cuban and want to know which of the two is authentic, it's this one.

This is an easy yet authentic recipe. My husband is Cuban and his grandma always made this for him. It is very close to her recipe. Served with some rice, black beans and tostones and we had ourselves a perfect Cuban meal!
