Terrible recipe! Put crockpot on high for 5 hours and split peas never cooked!
Smelled really good but not edible!

I love this version of split pea soup. I ended up using bacon because the suggested meats seemed too pricey. I would half the recipe next time because I don't have a large family to cook for and this makes a lot. It is a very filling soup.
