cooking the chicken in the crockpot with all the veggies really added to the flavor. we didn't need to add any salt. will likely make this my go to wild rice soup recipe.

It was a good start but I think it could use some improvements. It came out way too thick so I had to thin it out a quite a bit. It’s missing something that I can’t quite pinpoint. Perhaps it just needed more salt. I would make it again with some minor changes. It was definitely an easy dinner to throw in the crockpot which was my goal on a rainy day.

Absolutely amazing! Packed with flavor!!! ALL my kids devoured this for dinner! Bowls were empty! Watch the rice as mine did puff up a little more than expected but my crockpot may run a higher temp. No complaints though, it’s SO creamy! I did ad an extra 2 cups chicken broth as it was so thick due to rice puff lol, I also added my own blend of seasonings as I didn’t have poultry seasoning but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. If you’re thinking of trying this, do it! It’s BETTER than any restaurant I’ve ever had!

I keep this one on regular rotation.
It’s one of my favorite ways to use up leftover chicken, amazing flavor. I serve it with sourdough bread. Ultimate comfort food.

Awesome I had rotisserie chicken wild rice and a pint of heavy cream I needed to use. What a meal, one of my new fav.
