- 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar (or white)
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce (or tamari)
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder (The smokier the better if you're not using the liquid smoke)
- 2 tsp. liquid smoke (Optional)
- 1 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. paprika (sweet or smoky, though smoky is recommended if you're not using the liquid smoke)
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. fine sea salt
