I’ve made this twice now and each time I doubled the recipe. Haven’t used a hambone, but once with leftover ham that I chopped up, and the other with diced ham from the store. Added in more Cajun seasoning. My family ate it up each time.

It turned out pretty good. I like mine with a little more kick, so I doubled up on the Cajun seasoning, and made some cornbread and it was good to go!

I was surprised by how delicious this turned out to be! Went a little heavy on the Cajun and the flavor turned out amazing. This is definitely the best way to use up a ham bone!

I really don't prefer crock pot cooking. However, this recipe was delicious. Now, I am open to finding other crock pot recipes we may enjoy.
