I really liked this recipe, but know I'm a real southern girl so I did start with a light rue to thicken it up.. It deepens the flavors and takes some of the edge off all the tomatoes. I also doubled the amount of shrimp. In the south we like it thick with seafood, too . Other than these 2 things followed the recipe pretty much as stated ... It was a good guide for creating a great recipe.

I enjoyed this recipe. Definitely need to add more cayenne pepper to give it a extra kick with the hot sauce and salt and pepper also i bought a 14oz can of tomato sauce and used 3/4 of the can because i felt like 8oz wasn’t enough overall it was good and i would make again

Also added sugar helps with the tart flavor
Spices added a little kick in terms of flavor
