- 4 Tbsp. olive oil (divided)
- 1 yellow onion (or white)
- 3 tsp. minced garlic (about 6 large cloves)
- 1/2 cup white wine (I used pinot grigio, any dry white wine is fine!)
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (or more if you like spice)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil
