This is a really delicious soup. I did change it a bit. I had a ham bone and boiled it and used the broth from that ham bone instead of the chicken broth. Turned out fantastic!

Delicious! It tasted fresh and homemade, with deep, rich flavor. I used a ham that I had smoked, so my soup has a slight smoky flavor

after adding the roux you should simmer it for at least 30 min to let the flour cook down.

Love this soup would make it again. Our onions and ham never got brown around the edges and it took longer to cook than stated in the directions but was worth it
