- 3 Tbsp. oil (I used organic chicken fat, but butter or liquid oil should be fine)
- 3 Tbsp. all purpose flour
- 4 cups chicken broth (homemade or good commercial)
- 1 cup carrots (chopped, about 3 carrots)
- 2 Tbsp. sage (fresh or dried)
- 1 Tbsp. dried parsley (or 2 Tablespoons fresh)
- 1/4 tsp. turmeric
- 2 tsp. salt (will vary based on amount of salt in the broth)
- 2 oz. egg noodles (homestyle, aka “kluski”)
- 1 cup chicken (chopped)
- 1 cup half & half
