We used heavy whipping cream instead, but it turned out pretty well. A bit salty, so add lightly.

This was very good. I used it as a base for sautéed scallops with corn relish and it was terrific.

Great flavor.
I added 1 cup of chopped mushrooms into the sauce and added 6 (seasoned and seared) chicken thighs into the orzo. I substituted sour cream for the half-and-half. Steamed broccoli and cauliflower go well as a side to this dish.
