Description
All you need is 5 minutes and 4 ingredients to prepare this goes-with-anything cashew sauce. Toss it with pasta and nutritional yeast for a plant-based alternative to pasta Alfredo. Drizzle it over your favorite bowl of grains and greens. Or use it to dress up steamed asparagus. To make a nut-free version, swap outo the cashew butter for tahini. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Jamie Vespa, MS, RD.

- 1/4 cup cashew butter (creamy, salted; or use tahini)
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves (large, finely grated; divided)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. warm water

Directions
- Combine cashew butter, lemon juice, half the garlic, and the salt in a medium bowl, whisking to combine. Gradually whisk in water in 1-tablespoon increments until smooth and creamy. Taste sauce and add remaining garlic if you like.
- Serve sauce, or refrigerate airtight up to 2 weeks.
