- 2 1/2 lb. fresh tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 small yellow onion (chopped)
- 2 tsp. honey
- 2 Tbsp. cream (or half and half)
- Parmesan cheese (Rind of, optional but encouraged)
- 1 tsp. Herbs de Provence
- 1/8 tsp. pepper (cayene)
- sea salt
- freshly ground pepper
- olive oil
- 1 loaf sour dough (or favorite artisan bread, we use a GF sourdough)
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 cup fig (or so, spread)
- 3 oz. fontina cheese
- 2 Tbsp. walnuts (chopped)
- chives (for garnish, optional)
